Bakhtiar rug - from small bridge to special size

Bakhtiar, a small area in the rug province of Isfahan. The Bakhtiar is a durable rug of which there are not only knotted, but also woven copies (Kilims) to buy. Antique Bak htiars are very popular collector's items. In general, Bakhtiars are recognized by their common field or garden rug patterns. Often seen are cypress trees, which originally served as a leitmotif of the rug. The peculiarity of these rugs is that three different types of Bakhtiar rugs exist.

1.type: The rugs from the province of Chahar Mahal va Bakhtiari, which convince by their beautiful mostly floral field patterns.

2nd type : The more finely knotted rugs from the center of the Chahar Mahal, which are reminiscent of Isfahan.

3rd type : The Bakhtiar nomadic rugs and flatweaves from the south of the province, which are appealing for their simple charm.
