Kazak Rugs: Kazak rugs originate from the Caucasus region. Characteristic of a Kazak are geometric patterns and figures, as well as a flat weave. Afghan Rugs: Carpets and kilims have a long tradition in Afghanistan. In contrast to Persian carpets, Afghan carpets usually have geometric patterns and calmer colours. The knotting of the carpets is firm and flat-pile.
